Many of our clinical services are provided free of charge while others are based on a sliding fee scale. The Gadsden County Health Department accepts Medicaid as payment and is approved for limited services, as a provider for several Medicaid HMO’s. The Gadsden County Health Department provides very limited primary care. Services are provided on an appointment basis and certain services are provided on a walk in basis. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. A walk-in clinic is held every
Monday and Tuesday morning beginning at 8am for family planning problems, family planning supply visits, STD testing and treatment, HIV testing and immunizations. Bilingual staff is available for translation services for Spanish speaking clients.
